The Retrofit Academy
Cutting carbon and tackling fuel poverty are two of the biggest challenges of the century. We need to make our homes fit for the future if we are to deliver decarbonisation and end fuel poverty. This can be achieved by upgrading millions of homes, making them more energy-efficient through a process known as retrofitting. Over 27 million UK homes need decarbonisation improvements, but to do this we need a workforce 400,000 strong of specialist Retrofitters. The Retrofit Academy develops and delivers the support and training required for this growing sector in partnership with government, industry and education providers.
